Barcelona on the verge of signing Luis Suarez for 70-million euros

by

A few weeks ago, all seemed to point in the direction of Luis Suarez signing for Real Madrid. However, it’s FC Barcelona who are now on the front line and according to reports coming from Spanish and English newspapers, the deal between Barça and Liverpool could be very close to be sealed.

The two clubs are allegedly in advanced talks in order to come to a consensus on the exact transfer fee of this deal, but the latest news from Spain are suggesting that Barcelona are only trying to bargain for the price to go down just a few more millions and set it on a final 70-million euros fee.

A few days ago, FIFA has also cleared out that the ban and suspension that Suárez was handed following his biting incident against Chiellini on the Uruguay vs Italy clash in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, doesn’t forbid Liverpool from selling the player to any other club during the inactivity period, neither the player is prohibited from training with his teammates, regardless of the club he’ll end up representing in the new season.

We should have more news on this transfer rumor in the days ahead, but the whole process seems to be on a very advanced stage already, especially after Barcelona having already confirmed the selling of one of their main forwards last season, Alexis Sánchez, who has signed for Arsenal FC.
