La Liga vs Barclays Premier League: Which one to follow this season?

by

The football club action is about to resume this weekend, after close to a 2-weak break following the end of the transfer deadline last August 31. It’s time to finally see most the new signings in action and both La Liga (Spain) and the Barclays Premier League (England) have plenty of new faces ready to start shining in their new adventures.

With the Spanish League’s recent announcement of moving early some of their fixtures this season, it might come to a point where fans will have to decide on a regular basis whether to watch Premier League or La Liga matches.

This Saturday for example, the main action kicks off with an Arsenal vs Manchester City encounter in London, but a few hours later, not only Chelsea steps on to take Swansea at the Stamford Bridge, but there’s also a focus of interest in Spain at the exact same time, with a Barcelona vs Athletic Bilbao clash at the Camp Nou. This is just one of many examples of situations where we’ll be forced to pick one of the leagues throughout this season.

Nevertheless, there will still be more than enough time to follow closely the Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid derby, which only take place after the main round of games on that Saturday afternoon.
