Sami Khedira’s transfer to Arsenal is imminent
Real Madrid could be on the verge of losing one of their most important defensive midfielders in the team, with reports coming from both Spain and England indicating that Arsenal are about to sign Sami Khedira, in a deal where the Gunners would have to splash a 25-million euros transfer fee.
The 27-year old midfielder comes from finishing off a perfect season, after having won the UEFA Champions League for Real Madrid and the FIFA World Cup for Germany.
If this transfer does go through, Khedira will become Arsenal‘s second signing this season, following the former FC Barcelona‘s Alexis Sánchez incorporation in the Gunners squad.
The only thing holding up the deal seems to be the salary that Sami Khedira is demanding, which is reportedly a yearly wage of 7 million euros.
