Real Madrid loans Casemiro to FC Porto
Real Madrid have accepted to loan Casemiro to FC Porto for the upcoming season, as the deal finally got sealed earlier this Saturday after being announced in the Merengues‘ official website.
Even though not many details have been disclosed about this deal, it’s known that the Portuguese club will have a buying option right at the end of the season, which is already set at an unknown fixed fee. If FC Porto does decide to buy Casemiro on a permanent basis, Real Madrid CF would still be able to buy him back on a later stage, by also naturally paying a higher but already established transfer fee.
During his two seasons in Real Madrid, Casemiro had the chance to play in 27 different games for the Merengues’ first team, but he never got to score a goal. The defensive midfielder has turned 22 last February and even though he’ll be out on loan this next season, is still regarded by many as one of the most promising midfielders in the World.
Just a few weeks ago, several reports suggested that Casemiro was already in conversations with FC Porto‘s biggest rival in Portugal, SL Benfica. However and as it’s been quite usual to happen over the past years, FC Porto‘s president Pinto da Costa, seems to have anticipated their competitors and snatched them what could end up becoming a key player in the 2014-15 season. In Porto, Casemiro will be replacing Fernando, who recently signed for Manchester City.
