Cristiano Ronaldo reaches his hat-trick of pokers

by

After last night’s 5-1 win over Elche, Real Madrid confirmed their rising form over the last couple of weeks and there’s no one they owe it more than their main player, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese star completed his first poker (4 goals in a single game) of the season, after playing a decisive contribute in the Merengues comeback against the Alicante side that visited the Bernabéu last night. With his 4 goals this Tuesday, Cristiano Ronaldo now has 9 goals in 4 appearances in La Liga, which allows him to comfortably lead the Pichichi standings (the Spanish League top scorers table) at this early stage of the season.

However, this wasn’t the first time Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a poker in a football match. The former Manchester United winger already tasted the feeling of scoring 4 goals within the 90 minutes of a game in Real Madrid’s 6-1 win over Racing Santander on October 23 of 2010, as well as on the 2-6 win against Sevilla, on the 7th of May of 2011.

As for hat-tricks (which also includes counting his pokers), Ronaldo has currently scored 28 in his football career, 27 of those in Real Madrid and only one while being a Manchester United player. The only time he scored three goals in a match before he got transferred to Real Madrid happened in January of 2008, in a Red Devils‘ 6-0 win over Newcastle. Between 2009 and 2014, CR7 had 27 hat-tricks…
