Jorge Mendes: “José Mourinho is the best coach in the world”

No one doubts that there are several experienced coaches out there, who could deservedly be rated as the best coach in the world. Chelsea‘s head coach, José Mourinho, is certainly one of the names in that shortlist and he has been proving that season after season for the past 12 years.

Now at the age of 52, Mourinho keeps generating controversy week in and week out and his trademark mind games are second to none.

His agent Jorge Mendes decided to praise one of his biggest assets earlier this week and he didn’t exactly go soft in the words he picked to praise the Portuguese manager.

Jorge Mendes: “Mourinho is the best coach in the world. In fact, he’s the best coach of all-time despite being only 52 years old now. No one else in this sport has won so many trophies and accomplished so many things in such a short period of time like he has done”, stated the Portuguese agent, who is also responsible for managing Cristiano Ronaldo‘s career.

Mendes: “The closest we have to Mourinho in football is Sir Alex Ferguson. He is like a father not only to me, but also to Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo“, remarked Mendes, after winning the “Best Football Agent of 2014” award, in the Globe Soccer ceremony held in Dubai.
