Arsenal are closer to signing Mario Balotelli
The highly controversial AC Milan‘s forward Mario Balotelli, has repeatedly been hinted with a move to England and more concretely to Arsenal for the past few weeks and months. The transfer was already very close to happen on the days before the World kicked off in last June, but for one reason or another, things ended up not moving forward as the two clubs and probably the player had initially intended.
The latest reports from England are now suggesting that Arsenal didn’t exactly give up on the 23-year old Italian striker though and it appears that the Gunners have now got to a point where they already agreed the contract terms with Balotelli. Believing those rumors are actually true, the only thing missing now is to get to an understanding with AC Milan and the exact transfer fee to take the Italian forward to Arsenal.
Over the last hours, several newspapers in England like Mirror.co.uk and Metro.co.uk have been pitching the idea that 20-million euros will be the exact amount of cash for which Arsenal and AC Milan may end up agreeing the transfer terms. The same sources insist that if the two teams do agree all details for Balotelli to move, the Italian star would then sign a contract with the Gunners where he’ll earn close to 160.000 pounds per week (which is close to 10 million euros per year).
Arsenal are about to go on a tour over the United States as part of their pre-season preparation, but they’ll already have their first official fixture this year on August 10. Arsene Wenger‘s men will take on Manchester City for the FA Community Shield trophy, at the Wembley stadium, in London.
