Thiago Alcântara picks up another knee injury
Bad news for both Bayern Munich and the Spanish National Team. The 23-year old midfielder, Thiago Alcântara, has suffered another knee ligament injury during a team practice for the German champions and will now have to go through a new surgery intervention.
The former Barcelona midfielder had made his last appearance for the Bavarian club roughly 7 months ago (in March, against Hoffenheim) and has been struggling injuries ever since he signed for Bayer Munich. He already had one surgery in his knee in last May, which ultimately led to him missing the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Thiago was expected to return to the pitches this weekend, in Bayern Munich‘s home fixture against Werder Bremen. This latest upset will force him to sit out for at least a few more months…
