Manchester United and Liverpool to play in the ICC final

by

Manchester United and Liverpool will go head to head in Miami this Monday night, after both sides managed to finish first in their groups. They’ll be playing in the final of International Champions Cup, a yearly pre-season summer tournament that is held in the United States. You can watch Manchester United vs Liverpool live stream online at Ronaldo7.net, or if you happen to be in the UK, the game will be aired on Sky Sports 1 (kicks off at 1 AM, BST). In the US, this clash will be shown on FOX Sports 1 and ESPN Deportes (kicks off at 8 PM, EDT).

While Louis van Gaal‘s men had to go past tough opponents such AS Roma, Inter Milan and the European champions Real Madrid, the Reds didn’t exactly have in hands an easier task since they imposed their law against the likes of Olympiacos, Manchester City (the current English champions) and AC Milan.

On August 4, Man Utd and Liverpool will give us a little taste of what we can expect from them this season, even though most players from both squads are still naturally still from being in their best fitness level by now.

Manchester United have only signed two players so far, but they didn’t spare any money in doing so. They brought in Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao for a 29 million pounds transfer fee and also Luke Shaw from Southampton after paying 27 million pounds for the British left-back. It was the fee paid for the Spaniard midfielder however, which made of Herrera the 8th most expensive football player in this 2014-2015 transfer window so far.

Unlike previous seasons, Liverpool has decided to be a lot more active in this summer transfer window. They did lose their biggest star when they saw Luis Suárez signing for Barcelona a few weeks ago, but they haven’t been exactly saving money for Christmas either. The Reds already confirmed the signing of 7 new players, those being Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen, Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Dejan Lovren all coming from Southampton, Markovic from Benfica, Origi from Lille and finally Kevin Stewart from Tottenham Hotspur. Brendan Rodgers biggest challenge this season will be to do better than last season in the Barclays Premier League, which necessarily means they’ll have to become champions after having finished 2nd last May, behind Man City.
